Oh this place was the place! I definitely will be back! The food was incredible. As far as service there was only one sever on the floor and she still did her thing. If you’re a cognac type of person when it comes to liquor they carry D’Usse and Remy 1738. The ambiance was really nice and a classy/up scale vibe. “Best Soul Food in St. Louis” is a legit claim. ITS A MUST GO!!

We to Gourmet Soul today after seeing Lavinia McCoy on GMA last year. She did not disappoint! The baked chicken was tender and juicy, the collard greens were perfect and the Mac and cheese was gooey goodness! So glad I made the trip. Wish she could come to NC and open a restaurant in my home town. I would highly recommend a visit !!!! Thank you Lavinia ! Keep up the good tasting food! Yum!!!!

I am from St. Louis and took my husband here to visit. I wasn't sure if we should visit the City Museum, but the deciding factor was that we could have lunch at Gourmet Soul. WORTH IT! The chicken wings were good (sweet and spicy, not all that spicy), and fish was tasty. The collard greens and Mac and cheese were perfect examples of the genre! Combined with some tasty drinks and good service. I'm happy!!

I had the rosemary garlic lambchops, collard greens w/turkey and mac and cheese. Everything was absolutely delicious. There isn't anything negative to say. The meal was so flavorful. I recommend everyone to give them a try. You will be hooked!

This cozy little restaurant serves southern style soul food. Fried chicken and fish. Food was hot, prepared quickly and our server was very professional. I recommend this restaurant for dining. They also offer grub hub and door dash. While we were dining, about an hour, there were at least 35 to go orders ordered through these services. This restaurant also offers catering for events.

I really enjoyed myself here. I have been looking for the best soul food spot because sometimes I miss my step-dad and he really introduced me to the culture.. RIP I loved their greens BUT they didn't have vinegar I need my vinegar & hot sauce but their pork chop was so buttery good omg I want some more thinking about rn. Their wings was little salty but their sauces made it less salty I favorite hot & spicy sauce but their other sauce was good too. We came during the slower time so it was really nice to enjoy the place alone. It was such a good time.

First time there. Waitress was awesome hadca great attitude and big smile. We enjoyed smothered pork chops, greens, sweet potatoes. We definitely will be back. Liked lounge booths like a old time club

My first experience at a restaurant in St. Louis, Missouri, in my adult life. Excellent experience i was able to enjoy with my Mom Dukes, who is in town for a woman's conference. All the dishes were good. Mid-west soul food!
